Daniel M. Gross is Professor of English and Affiliate Faculty in the Critical Theory Emphasis. At UC Irvine, he also serves as the Campus Writing & Communication Coordinator, which is the office responsible for UCI Writing across the Curriculum, and Writing in the Disciplines (WAC/WID). His research in rhetoric runs along three tracks: writing and communication, history of the disciplines, and medical humanities.
Evin Groundwater

As Director, Evin supports the Undergraduate Writing Peer Tutors, the Graduate Writing Consultants, Writing Specialists, Writing Center Coordinator, and Writing Consultants, and coordinates programming and collaborations across campus. Writing Center Coordinator
As Writing Center Coordinator, Janella Lee-McGarraugh supports the Undergraduate Writing Peer Tutors. She has worked in numerous writing centers for over eight years, and she loves the community and camaraderie that writing centers bring to college campuses. Percival Guevarra
Writing Specialist (multilingual student emphasis)
Percival has been working in higher education around the world for more than a decade. To keep improving as an instructor, he enjoys learning new skills and exploring new cultures. Most recently, he has been learning storytelling and martial arts, which stem from his interests in anime and video games.
Percival offers in-person and remote sessions on Zoom.
Hosna Sheikholeslami
Graduate Writing Coordinator
As the Graduate and Postdoctoral Coordinator, Hosna supports the Graduate Writing Consultants and the programming at the Graduate Writing Lab. Iveta Cruse
Administrative Coordinator
Iveta started her administrative career at the University of California, Irvine in 2000. She graduated from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in Bulgaria with a MA in Italian Language and Literature. She also attended courses at the University of Perugia, Italy. Her interests involve philological studies, linguistics, translations, and poetry.
Talia Nanton
Writing Consultant
Talia (she/her/hers) welcomes the opportunity to help students become confident in their writing through directive and non-directive feedback, verbal encouragement, patience, and reassurance. Talia offers in-person appointments, as well as online and asynchronous sessions. She received her MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
